Well, the inevitable has happened and the Wizards are moving on to the next round. John Wall was a superstar last night as he dropped 42 points on the Hawks. He also managed 8 assists and 4 steals. He shot 64% from the field along with 90% from the free throw line. Millsap scored 31 points off of 23 shots and Schroder had 26 points of 18 shots. This would not be near enough as the Wizards just looked more prepared for the game. The biggest difference was once again the three point shooting. The Hawks shot just 28% from three while the Wizards shot 42% in their win. Hardaway Jr managed just 13 points off 18 shots and it seems to me that the Hawks tend to live and die by the success of Hardaway and Howard. If they both have poor games the Hawks don’t have enough talent to make up for it. The Washington Wizards win this game 115-99. I would say the Atlanta Hawks are one or two pieces away from making a deep run into the playoffs. They should consider getting rid of Dwight Howard in the offseason. The Wizards will move on to the next round to take on the Celtics. Wall will need to continue his ways in order to move past the Celtics. I look forward to watching this series.
