Who Will Be Going To The Super Bowl?

Tomorrow we have the AFC and NFC Championship games. It’s the final round before we see who is going to be playing in the Super Bowl. This season has seen the loss of the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens. These were the two favorites for the AFC Championship game. Instead we get the Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes are the last best effort for the NFL to have a decent ratings for the Super Bowl. The Tennessee Titans are basically an old school football team. They rely almost solely on the running game. The key for them is going to be getting Derrick Henry going. This guy is averaging 188.5 yards per game in this playoffs. If they are not able to do that Kansas City will destroy them offensively. They need to be able to control the tempo of the game and not let Mahomes get hot. The team that comes out of the NFC Championship game should make for a great opponent from a fan perspective.

The Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers were both favorites and we able to have bye games in the first round. The Packers were able to sneak past the Seahawks having seemingly put them away in the first half of the game only to have to gut out a nail biter in the end. The 49ers on the other hand dominated the second half of their Divisional Round game against the Vikings. They won by more than two scores as the game was decided by the fourth quarter. Here is the schedule for tomorrow. Should be a great day of football.

Sunday, January 19th (all times CST)
2:05PM – Tennessee Titans @ Kansas City Chiefs – CBS
5:40PM – Green Bay Packers @ San Francisco 49ers – FOX
