Red River Rivalry Showcases Week 6 Lineup

This week’s football lineup will end up going down as one of the better ones this season. We have decent games on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. With the rankings changing dramatically every single week this season, it’s starting to become apparently that the College Football Playoffs will not be set until the last couple of weeks of the season. Every single week we have at least 5+ teams being replaced in the AP Poll. Here is a highlight of some of the best games this week:

Thursday we have #15 Coastal Carolina taking on Arkansas State. Coastal Carolina has been about as impressive as you could ever expect the small school in the college town of Conway, South Carolina could get. They are currently beating opponents by an average score of 48-14. They have crushed both Kansas and UMass and are starting their conference games out right smashing ULM 59-6 last week.

Friday’s line-up includes two games that are of interest. Temple taking on #5 Cincinnati shouldn’t be much of a match up but it gives folks the ability to see what Cincinnati is made of since they are playing on ESPN. The late game on ESPN is going to be Stanford taking on #22 Arizona State which should actually be a very interesting set up as Stanford is more pass heavy this season while Arizona State relies on the run.

Go ahead and take your pick come Saturday as the line up is pretty thick and interesting. Start your morning with the Red River Rivalry when #21 Texas takes on #6 Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl at the Texas State Fair. You can switch between that game on ABC and ESPN’s 11AM game of #13 Arkansas @ #17 Ole Miss. Both of those teams got pummeled last week by SEC rivals so it will be interesting to see who will end up staying in the top 25 out of those two. After the Texas game on ABC you will get another heavy match up with #2 Georgia taking on #18 Auburn at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Alabama. You can switch between that game on ABC and the game that is on FOX which will be #4 Penn State @ #3 Iowa. This looks to be a strong match-up which could decide who will still be in the playoff hunt. The last game that I would recommend watching Saturday night is going to be #1 Alabama at Texas A&M. Alabama will most likely win and I always love watchin Texas A&M lose but honestly would be happy if either team wins/loses this game.
